Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere where the doctor actually cares. I've never waited a month for an appointment, and paid a so much for almost nothing. I honestly don't think Dr. Fitzmorris said more than 5 words to me. She walked in for about five minutes, mumbled some things to her assistant, and walked out without answering any questions I had. (It was my first eye exam, which she was aware of, and I had alot of questions)I am not confident in the prescription I got and will definitely be looking for a second opinion. I have never been more frustrated with a doctor's visit.
Save yourself time and aggravation by going somewhere else. The average wait time is several hours; then you walk out with a prescription that is all wrong! Dr. Fitzmorris gave my daughter reading glasses when she went in for problems with nighttime distance vision. She did a re-exam and after 30 minutes of apologizing and then trying to defend it, she told us to come back for a third try for her to get it right the next day when my daughters eyes were 'more tired'. I never heard of needing three exams to get a prescription correct.
After almost$1000 spent with another eye dr who just said I had dry eyes I went to see Dr Fitzmorris who never gave up on figuring my problem out. Thank you Dr Fitzmorris. I have never had an issue. As far as wait time, that is pretty much most appointments with any doctor so you just need to deal with it. I highly recommend her.
Great clinician
It amuses me how people judge an excellent physician based on very subjective reasons: had to wait a lot (hello??? not Burguer King) and she barely spent time on me, etc (very busy clinic). As a Physician that I am, I feel very confident to refer my patients to her because if YOU DO REALLY HAVE SOMETHING SERIOUS, she will not stop until she finds the reason why. Be thankful if she dispatched you in a few minutes because you REALLY don't want anything serious to happen to your eyes.
I have been seeing Dr. Fitzmorris, for OVER 10 years now.... I am greatful to have a wonderful doctor!!! I call her the QUEEN of EYES!
She messed up my husband's prescription a year earlier, so obviously this was not a one-time fluke. Even though you wait several hours, the actual time she spends with you is less than three minutes. You move through an assembly line and park an average of 45 minutes at each station. Then when Dr. Fitzmorris finally greets you she rushes through, explains nothing, and is annoyed with questions.
