Called three times. Was passed around like a ragdoll with no answers and eventually hung up on. Asked to speak to a manager and sat on hold for an additional eight minutes, until I hung up. I went to buy a surveillance camera system for inside and out of my home. The first 30 minutes i spoke to 3 people. 2 of which said they would send someone over to help. The 2nd 30 minutes no one came and I could not even find an employee. I left frustrated. Went on line and found enough information to order from another company. Not Best buy
My last experience gets a 1 star. Reason being, the car audio technician was very unprofessional. He laughed at me, basically telling me that I am an idiot. He told me what I was trying to do would not work, then laughed at my "ignorance". So, I went to a different car audio store, got the part that "wouldn't work", which indeed DID work. That tech was the ignorant one, who also whispered to another tech my idea, both laughed at me. Of course they were like 18 years old. Best buy is the new radio shack. Rant over
I bought a laptop at Best Buy, and it was surprisingly easy and fast. No long wait time although it was 2 days til Christmas. The sales associate was knowledgeable and friendly, and the computer was a reasonable price. Got it programmed by the on sight Geek Squad, and they were just as nice. I don't know about other areas of the store, but can recommend the computer/electronics department.
Get yo nerd on hwre... But avoid geek squad... Your better off asking your grandma "what does this do" than asking those fools. Step it up and Know your technology guys!
It was the worst. I do not know how they stay in business with such poor customer relations.
