Good food for decent prices. In a city where the food can be pretty expensive, this place will get you your money's worth. Very good value.
Best shrimp flautas I've ever had! Can't find them anywhere else this good. Great black beans and rice, everything is well seasoned and delicious! The tongue tacos are awesome as well as the fish tacos. I drive 30 minutes from home past numerous other Hispanic places just to come here, because they are the best.
Food was good but definitely overpriced. The service can be improved. The hostess/bartender does not understand her job is to greet customers and direct them to tables. My waitress was fine but she was serving all the tables so individual service suffers. They do not provide free refills or complimentary chips/salsa or pre-meal soup which is traditionally done in Mexican culture/restaurants nor do they provide tortillas with meals again which is the cultural custom hard to accept their description of traditional Mexican restaurant.
Very decent Mexican food. Kinda wish the tacos were smaller and less expensive so you could do more different tacos in one go. The chared green onions had a strong propane flavor which was off-putting, but the carne asada was excellent!
You'll love the freshly made Mexican faire. They make their tortillas, chips, salsa, and everything else from scratch. I've been going here since I was a kid and it's consistently awesome. You can get the classics like tacos or go for something Americanized like the Mexican pizza or nachos. No matter what, they will use quality ingredients. There's lots of beer and margaritas if you're thirsty. The space is tight with lots of seating. You'll enjoy the festive decor. You will need to order chips if you want them. Bring the kids and enjoy the music.
