I hope Ochsner takes over this dump named hospital soon. PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM HERE! This is the worst hospital !!!!

Was in the ER and was treated with no compassion I was in pain . There wasn't that many people there waiting but I was told they were very busy . The nurse on the floor made me walk to the back when I needed a wheel chair she very ugly to me . Got in back and they had beds everywhere .I was treated better at LSU hospital then East Jefferson hospital . I'm am very disappointed in the hospital staff in ER . I will never go back there again .
Zero patients were waiting and took 30 min to get a bed to lay in and 30 min for the doctor to walk from across the hall. The so called "emergency room" isn't an emergency room, it's a forever and wait room.
Terrible service !!! Slow slow slow! Unprofessional and low morality (most likely zero). They will sign you in first (MONEY HUNGRY) rather than taking care of the urgent matter. I don't recommend this hospital for anyone you really care for. If you seriously care for someone just simply don't step foot in the emergency room here.

I WAS RECENTLY IN THE E.R. AT EAST JEFFERSON HOSPITAL AND WHAT I SAW AND EXPERIENCED WAS NOTHING LESS THEN NEGLIGENCE AT IT'S BEST!!!!! AS A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL I WAS APPALLED AND DISTURBED BY THE LAXITY OF THE STAFF ON THAT NIGHT. THERE WAS A TRUE EMERGENCY THAT NIGHT AND THE STAFF AND DOCTOR ON THAT NIGHT HAD NO URGENCY IN THEN AT ALL!!!! NEEDLESS TO SAY THE PATIENT DIED. I WOULD NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL FOR NOTHING! AND, I WOULD TELL ALL I KNOW THE SAME.
